Jennifer and Tim were married on a special day in April when the snow stopped, the clouds parted and the blue skies were brighter than ever. The ceremony was held at the breathtaking Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church with the reception just a few steps away at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Everything about the wedding was sophisitcated and gorgeous with every detail in place thanks to Ambiente. One detail I loved was that Jennifer wore her mom's original wedding veil and I know Tim (and everyone) would agree that she was s stunning bride. Tim and Jennifer thank you so much for trusting me to capture this important moment in your lives.
Today I am thankful to get to blog about some wonderful news .... Joe and Joey's wedding! The day ended up being a snowy April day, and I thought it made for a beautiful backdrop to their bright and cheery wedding celebration. I knew after their Engagement Session that they were up for anything and that they love to laugh. In addition to both being hi-larious, they also truly adore each other, and the combination makes my job so easy. Their ceremony was held at the beautiful Bethlehem Lutheran church and the reception was at the historic Day Block Event Center in Minneapolis. Joe's, I am so glad that I had the chance to meet you and I have had a blast documenting this awesome time in your lives!
Last summer I had the pleasure of witnessing (and photographing) the vow renewal of my sister and her husband. Since the day my brother in law came into the picture I knew he was "the one" for her. I love both of them separately, and together, and as a family so much it's hard to put into words. It was an honor to be a part of their actual wedding, and to be a witness to the journey that they have been on since then, and now to witness them renew their vows and celebrate their marriage again. One detail I loved was how they made a list of the qualities they love about each other and read them to each other during the ceremony (some sweet, some hilarious). With the help of Redshoes 26 made a framed piece of art that they can hang in their home and remind them of this day and all the thing that make them smile. Because we all know now how fast a wedding day goes by and how the memory begins to get "fuzzy" over time, I think we all tried to hold on extra tight to this day. Thank you J&D (for your awesomeness) and for letting me capture this special day for you.
Finally the full post of the gorgeous winter wedding of Lindsay and Alex! It was truly a magical day. The ceremony took place at the Cathedral of St. Paul with the reception at Dellwood Country Club. It was so evident how Lindsay and Alex both "light up" when they are together. Their love is the real deal, and it is a joy to photograph! To see more photos from the wedding day click here, and to see photos from their fall engagement session click here. Thank you Lindsay and Alex for inviting me into your life!
It was a flawless day thanks to the amazing vendors invloved :
The Indyspirewedding fair is the one "marketing" event that I take part in each year. The vendors are all independent business owners (part of the Independent Wedding Association) who are smart, innovative and great at what they do. The event is super informative and has a relaxed cocktail-hour vibe. So if you are a couple planning a wedding or looking for inspiration/information, join me Feb 16th at the American Swedish Institute!
Laura and Mark were married on a beautiful winter day with a lovely white dusting of snow. The ceremony was warm and festive inside the sunken garden at the Como Conservatory. One special moment was when Laura spoke directly to her new step daughters. The little girls were attached to her hip all night giving her (and their dad) millions of big hugs. Thank you Laura and Mark for letting me capture your beautiful wedding day!
