This is the first time I had met the Parson's family and we had a great time taking photos at Minnehaha Falls. I hope you can tell by these shots how fun and active this little guys is. When your a toddler and you've just learned to run, there is a lot of world out there to explore!
I'm starting off my High School Senior Portraits this year with an awesome Senior named Kelsey. She goes to De La Salle High School in Minneapolis so we decided to take photos around the school and St. Anthony Main where it's located. Kelsey is extremely smart and unique and I can tell she is going to accomplish big things in the future!
The Ferguson family actually lives in Madison so we scheduled a date to take photos while they were visiting Minneapolis. Their daughter Molly is such a doll, she just turned one and is learning to walk. I love the photo where she's trying to walk to her dad, I'm sure the grass wasn't making things easy for her.
Check out the latest issue of MINNESOTA BRIDE that is hot off the
press! Inside they feature the finalists for the "Best of 2009"
Awards. Although I did not win the title, I was SO completely honored
to be named as one of the top 3 Photographers amongst so many amazing
Photographers in Minnesota! They announced the winners at the the "Minnesota Bride Best of 2009 Party" at the Varsity Theater. It was super a fun night, thanks to everyone at Minnesota Bride for putting on such a lovely event!
Also featured in this issue of the magazine is a the beautiful wedding of Katie and Colin. Check out more photos from their wedding here.
A few photos from the Minnesota Bride Best of 2009 Party at the Varsity Theater! check out more photos on the MN BRIDE website.
My good friend and mentor (amazing photographer!) Maribeth from Red Ribbon Studio, and my super talented sister from Just Bloomed. and my cute hubby hogging the photobooth.
The Andrews kids are so much fun because they all get along so well together. The older boys adore their little sister and even though she's smaller she totally keeps up with them. My favorite part was when they were eating their ice cream cones, so sweet!
Alissa and Alex are getting married this coming October in Lutsen MN. They are both teachers and are such a great couple. The photo of Alissa jumping kind of sums up their dynamic and how they compliment each other so well. SO excited for the wedding!
As the grandma, Becky wanted to get her grand kids together for some photos. I think you can from their faces how much fun all of these kids are. The moms are all teachers so they kept the kids all smiling by telling them hilarious stories while I snapped away. They were so great, I wish I could take them to all my shoots for entertainment!
I am so happy to share this little guy with you! His name is Jackson and I dare you not to smile when you see how cute he is. I guess it's no surprise since he looks so much like his parents, and they have some fortunate family genes!
The Peterson family is one of my favorite families to photograph (not just because they are beautiful and have the most AMAZING blue eyes!) but also because they are so sweet and I have been taking their photos since before their first baby was born. It's so fun to watch families grow together and see how much the kids change.
Betsy and Josh decided to have photos taken of their whole family (Josh's side) and also some of them as a couple. I think it's great to see families having photos taken to capture this specific moment in time, not just when the kids are little. It was a fun way to spend a beautiful warm summer evening in the Minneapolis.
