One of my favorite ages for a baby is just before they learn to crawl. I love their chubby little legs and how most of their entertainment is what they can find within reach, which is typically their own feet. Gigi is at that perfect age and she is the sweetest baby with a smile that lights up a room.
Spending time with this family makes me incredibly happy. I am sure I had a smile on my face the entire time. Tree climbing, homemade bow and arrows, hopscotch and the most delicious picnic surrounded by flowers. That was just a beginning of the fun we had on one beautiful summer evening.
Ashley and Jeremy are looking forward to their wedding next June, but for now they are starting to plan their lives in Jeremy's home town in Western Canada. I was happy to catch them in Minnesota long enough to have a lovely evening with them and take their engagement photos. The are a delight to spend time with and to photograph, I am so excited to get them behind my lens again next summer!
Kim and Shane have been together for years and have waited for their wedding day for a long time. I think they would both say that it was a perfect day and well worth the wait. From the ceremony at St Peter's church, to a quick stop at Grumpy's, and onto the reception at the amazing Aria, everyone had a blast. One of my favorite parts was the first look when Kim and Shane couldn't hold back tears when they saw each other. They are an awesome pair, and I wish them all of the happiness in the world! "The world is Yours"!
I was so excited for Kirsten and Jay's Engagement session, mostly because they are so much fun I knew we would have a great time. Also I loved the lake setting with all of it's northern Minnesota glory. Anyone from Minnesota knows the feeling of being "up north" and how it encompasses summer and relaxation to the fullest.
Jessica and Shawn were married on a beautiful blue sky summer day. Every detail was divine, from the ceremony at Mount Olivet Church to the reception at Minikahda Country Club. One of my favorite parts was the dreamy sparkler exit at the very end of the night. Jessica and Shawn thank you so much for letting me capture your special day!
I have been looking forward to Theresa and Brett's wedding since their Engagement Session last fall. They could not be a more perfect pair, they even look like they were made for each other. They are both so sweet and lovely I knew their wedding day would be perfection. The rainy weather was part of the story of their wedding day (I'm sure Theresa would have preferred if the power would have not gone out at the hotel in the morning. PS She was amazing cool about the whole thing) but in my opinion it made for a very intimate, and beautiful day. Thank you Theresa and Brett for letting me be a part of your special day!
I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family as they welcome their newest member baby Reese. Big sister Taylor (the sweetest and happiest little girl in the world!) is so proud to show off her new baby.
